Why? Who is responsible for this bullshit? When will we behead this people?

Probably the same reason why all modern supercars look like fake supercars from a Ridge Racer game.

To be honest, this is much better than the pre-facelift version, which IMHO really looked like a bad Chinese copy, but tastes differ.
Another Chinese copy on the market today is the Quatroporte. The original was really sleek, the newer one looks like somebody else took a shot at the same theme.

I think it’s the tiny lights up front.

This is the new Flying Spur? Refresh of 1st gen. was much better.

The new Mulsanne. The first one had questionable but charming looks, this is just awful.

And the lower and wider grille

I’ve disliked the looks of every Bentley after and including the Conti GT. Except I think the brooklands came out in that era I liked that. But the mulsanne, Conti, bentayga. No thanks.

Wow, as if Bentley's styling couldn't get any worse.

Are you asking why they did it, or are you wondering what is it that makes it look counterfeit?
If it’s the latter, I think it’s because of the grille. Firstly, there’s little to no “crease” running down the centre in order to split the right and left halves. It appears to all be on a single plane. Secondly, I can’t recall a Bentley since the ‘90s with vertical bars in its grille, and certainly none were anywhere near as wide.

the excessively chrome grille?

I hate it. Not only does the front in copy Rolls Royce (I know they have done it before but that was different times). But furthermore the company looks like hypocrites. They got butt hurt that Lincoln “copied design cues” last year and here they are do the same unimaginative coping to Rolls Royce
